SERVICES

Larry has worked for public sector and private sector employers over the past four decades including the state aviation department in Florida, private consulting firms in Florida, Texas, and Maryland, and as a senior facility planner at DFW International Airport. This broad range of experience has resulted in a wide variety of assignments with distinctly unique perspectives.  He truly understands the role of owners and consultants and how to optimize these perspectives to provide effective and comprehensive technical services.

AVIATION PLANNING

The key elements of aviation planning include activity forecasting, determining facility requirements, providing alternatives analyses, and defining preferred recommendations. Larry has an extensive background in these planning assignments at airports of all sizes.

AVIATION TASK AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

This expertise involves managing multi-firm consulting teams on tasks and for multi-year on-call airport improvement programs. Larry has managed and performed these services for airports of all sizes and activity.

STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL PLANNING AND SAFETY

Managing an airport exposes airport owners to a wide variety of challenges ranging from time-dependent emergencies to long-term and phased programs. Larry’s experience with that entire range of opportunities enables him to expertly and effectively address these challenges while preserving safety.

AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PLANNING

Funding and implementing multi-year airport development programs is a complex assignment for many reasons ranging from affordability to predicting and mitigating impacts to airport operations and safety. Larry brings this experience from funding assistance to owners to organizing these development programs into implementation plans.

URBAN/ADVANCED AIR MOBILITY PLANNING
SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (SMS)

The aviation industry is transforming personal mobility through the development and implementation of electric-powered air taxi aircraft, particularly in congested urban areas. This type of personal air mobility is primed to grow exponentially as these electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft are tested and licensed. Larry Bauman has been researching this phenomenon since 2016 and is a recognized expert in how advanced air mobility will impact airports.

FAA recently released their requirements for Part 139 airports to develop and implement an airport-wide SMS. Larry worked with a national industry expert on this effort for an airport sponsor on their SMS program.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

“His impact on our aviation business development plan for Denver International Airport was remarkable. His ability to develop, implement, and manage client growth strategies in multiple regions is truly impressive. Larry also provided invaluable technical expertise on various opportunities, elevating the quality of our work, and he provided the corporate resources that were needed for the rocky mountain office.

His visionary leadership and dedication to excellence make him an invaluable asset in the aviation construction sector. I wholeheartedly recommend Larry for his outstanding contributions and his ability to drive success in the aviation field and federal sector.”
